Perfect Valentines Date - Kuroko x Reader [1/2]

Your hums were heard throughout the room as your head was bobbing to the music you were listening to via your earphones. Turning pages on a magazine catalog. Today’s magazine theme is all about: Valentines, of course you’ll be interested in such a topic since it gives you wonderful ideas for a date with your lovely boyfriend. And right now you were staying at the room you and your lover’s room inside the apartment you both share.

Then, something caught your interest, raising a brow. You jolted up from the bed you were lying on, alarming your boyfriend who was studying. You quickly showed him your magazine which read “The Perfect Restaurant for a Valentines Date” on it with pictures of a very fancy looking interior of a restaurant. “Let’s go here! Please!?”, you asked in plea. Your boyfriend looked at it more closely but then continued with his studies.

“Aw come on Tetsu~ Pretty please with cherry on top?”, you gave him the classic puppy-dog eyes which just makes him give in because you were too adorable for him to handle--well of course he wouldn’t admit that despite his blunt personality, it would be rather too embarrassing if he told you that. Sighing, he nodded, “Okay, We’ll go there on Valentines”. With that, you hugged him and kissed his cheek and continued to be sprawled on his comfy bed.

You flipped through the pages of the magazine but your mind was filled with you and Kuroko on Valentines Day, which was on Sunday considering that it was Friday right now.

You had been in a relationship with your boyfriend Kuroko Tetsuya for almost 5 years now. You smiled with that thought as you go back to your freshman days at Seirin and now you both were on your second year of University.

Sure you had a few arguments here and there, but it never went to anything serious and you would both apologize even before the day ends. You love the boy with all your heart and you knew that he shares the same with you.

You were the first to initiate a confession and was very happy knowing that he felt the same. Despite his low presence, you never failed to notice him and be amazed by him. He caught your attention by the way he passes when you first went to go see the basketball team practice. After that, you always notice him and you slowly started to develop feelings for him.

What you didn’t know at that time was that Kuroko also noticed and observed you since the first time you visited their practice. And since then, he always saw you in the crowds of all the matches they’d been in. Cheering them on silently and watching their games intently. Your face lit up every time he uses his Ignite Pass or his Vanishing drive or just Kagami’s amazing shots with the help of Kuroko’s passes. All of that, he noticed and loved so much about you. He didn’t know why that even with the biggest of crowds he never fails to catch a glimpse of your (hair color) hair. It might be fated, who knows, but what he does know is that he will cherish you and never leave you no matter what.

You sat up from the bed and turned to Kuroko, “Can we go to that restaurant and make a reservation tomorrow?” you asked. “I’m sorry (first name) but Hyuuga-senpai just contacted me and told me that they wanted a reunion with the other members tomorrow, i’m really sorry I can’t come with you”, he confessed with his usual monotoned voice but with a hint of an apologetic tone in it. You nodded, understanding the situation.

You smiled at him telling him it’s alright and that you’ll just go there alone tomorrow even if in truth you wanted him to come with you. But you didn’t want to be deemed as possessive at all since you aren’t like that, you wanted to give him freedom.

Kuroko glanced at his clock. It was already 7:30 in the evening, might as well eat dinner he thought. “Ah (first name), do you want to eat out for dinner?” he turned to you, setting his pencil down.

You shook your head in reply, “I’d rather cook, you need to save up for our date!”. He smiled at your giggling self and nodded before continuing his studies.

You got up from his bed and headed down towards the kitchen, you started cooking for lunch. While cooking, your mind wandered on the upcoming Valentines day and what awaits that day. In fact, Valentines day is also your 5th Anniversary. You confessed with a heart shaped box of chocolates and shyly gave it to Kuroko at the back of the basketball court. Your face was completely red and so was Kuroko’s surprised face which you didn’t notice since your eyes were tightly shut. And before you knew it, Kuroko accepted your chocolates and your confession and now, here you were.

You hoped that this Valentines was as special as always. And with that thought you were awfully excited and got back to your cooking before it got overcooked by all your thoughts.

Walking all alone made you lonely all the way to the said fancy restaurant.

Finally reaching your destination, you went inside. Lightly gasping at the grand decor it has. Beautifully decorated with a Valentines theme. No doubting this is really the most perfect place to spend a Valentines date with.

After basking in the restaurant with all it’s glory, you made your way to the hostess. “Um I would want to make a reservation”, you say to the worker in front of you. She gave you an apologetic smile after flipping through the reservations book. “I’m terribly sorry miss, but we are fully booked at the moment. You can only start a reservation in 5 days from now, I truly apologize for the inconvenience”, she bowed. You frowned but nodded, muttering a thank you and leaving disappointed.

You sighed, you really wanted to make this Valentines day something special and amazing, but sadly you weren’t able to. Maybe you’ll just have to settle into something more simple this year.

You heard your stomach growl and you looked to see if there are any place you can find food near by. That’s when you saw Maji Burger. You and Kuroko used to come there a lot in highschool so you thought why not eat there for lunch.

Stepping inside, you then noticed a muscular red head eating a pile of burgers on their tray. A grin was on your face and called to him. “Kagami-kun! Long time no see!”, you then went and sat in front of him. Kagami quickly swallowed his chewed burgers and smiled at you.

“Oh (first name)-chan! It’s been a while, here”, he greeted you with a toss of one of his burgers at you. You happily accepted and took a bite. “So, how are you and Kuroko been doing?” he asked after a moment. You swallowed your burger and replied, “Just fine, tomorrow’s our Anniversary, how wonderful”, you said with your wide smile at him.

“Glad to hear, I hope the best for both of you”, Kagami reached out and ruffled your hair. Another couple of seconds had passed until you remembered something. “Um Kagami-kun, aren’t you supposed to be in a reunion with your teammates or something?”, you asked tilting your head to the side.

Kagami’s eyes grew wide. “W-what!? I forgot it was today!!”, he quickly swallowed the last of his burger and stood up making your sweat drop. “Sorry (first name)-chan, I have to go now, it was nice seeing you, bye!”, and then he dashed out, leaving you all alone again. Finishing your burger, you left out the place and continued to walk home.

Reaching home, you opened the door to be greeted by no one of course. You sighed feeling lonely again and changed into a more comfortable outfit and crawled on top of the soft bed. You decided to wait until Kuroko got home but instead, you dozed off.

The click came from the door being opened as the light blue ared boy got inside his apartment. It was already 8 and the reunion was longer than expected. Food was also served there so he brought you one in case you were hungry. “I’m home” he yelled, knowing that you were already home. He walked up stairs and made his way to yours and his room. “Sorry for being home late, the reunion got longer than expected” he said through the door before opening it and revealing his girlfriend to be peacefully sleeping.

He sat at the side of the bed and caressed her cheeks. The warm sensation of Kuroko’s hand had woken her up. (eye color) eyes fluttered open to see her boyfriend’s gentle smile.

You smiled back and sat up. “Sorry I wasn’t able to get a reservation on that restaurant, it was fully booked”, you muttered, turning away from his gaze. “I don’t mind, I’ll find another way to spend Valentines with you. I don’t care where but if it’s with you, everything’s perfect”, he whispered to you and giving you a loving kiss. You both melted into the kiss and layed down on the bed and both of you slept while holding on the each other.
